  1. Installing DPI-On-The-Fly¬Æ Software 2.5

  3. This section describes the installation of DPI-On-The-Fly software.
  4.  
  5. 1. First, connect your NEC MultiSync FG, FGe or PG display product to the video port on the back of the Mac Quadra 700, 800, 900, 950, Mac Centris 610, 650, Mac LC III, or the  Mac Display Card 8‚Ä¢24. Please refer to your MultiSync user's manual for assistance connecting to Macintosh or call NEC Technical Support at 1-800-388-888.

  7. 2. To install DPI-On-The-Fly software 2.5 simply move the file icon from the DPI-On-The-Fly¬Æ software diskette to your system folder. System 7.0.1 and above will prompt you that the file will be moved into the Control Panels folder.

  9. 3. At this time restart your Macintosh. This will initialize DPI-On-The-Fly software with the video capabilities of your Mac's on-board video or Display Card 8‚Ä¢24. When your system restarts the display output will default to 640x480 resolution, B/W.

  11. DPI-On-The-Fly software is now ready to switch display modes for you. Please read the next section "Using DPI-On-The-Fly¬Æ Software 2.5" to operate the software.
